Gospel
Matthew 7:6, 12-14
Reading
“Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction, and those who enter through it are many. How narrow the gate and constricted the road that leads to life. And those who find it are few.” (Matthew 7:13-14)
Revelation
Seek the Wisdom of God. There are no shortcuts to life. This is the day set by the Lord for you to work your way through without applying any shortcuts just to get things done. It may be difficult but the reward is great. Always strive for excellence and perfection in all your works and undertakings.
Reflection
The wisdom of God is never found in shortcuts. When the Lord sets a day before you, He invites you to walk through it, not skip over it. Every challenge, every slow step, every task that demands patience is part of His shaping.
Excellence in God’s eyes is not about speed but faithfulness — doing what is right, what is true, and what is pleasing to Him even when no one sees. Shortcuts often promise ease, but they rob you of growth. God’s way may feel longer, harder, or quieter, yet it forms character, discipline, and spiritual maturity.
When you choose diligence over convenience, integrity over ease, and perseverance over comfort, you align yourself with the very heart of God. This day is not random. It is appointed. And the Lord is watching over every step you take, ready to reward the work done with purity, excellence, and wholehearted devotion.
Response
Lord Jesus,
Today I choose Your wisdom over the shortcuts of this world. Teach me to walk the path You have set before me with patience, diligence, and a heart that seeks excellence in all things. Strengthen me when the work feels heavy and remind me that every effort done for You is never wasted.
Guard my mind from the temptation to rush, to cut corners, or to settle for less than what honors You. Shape my character through every task, every challenge, and every moment that requires perseverance.
Let Your Spirit guide my decisions, my actions, and my attitude. May my work today reflect Your glory, and may the fruit of my labor bring joy to Your heart. I entrust this day to You, believing that the reward You promise is far greater than any shortcut the world offers.
Amen.
