The path to true peace is to give and forgive. It is not easy to forgive a person who has done much harm or hurt but once you are able to do it, it totally brings back the peace in your heart. You no longer feel the pain that you have kept for you have chosen to let go of it and be freed from its clutches. Forgiveness is a gift of grace not earned.
Reflection
The path to true peace begins with a heart willing to forgive. Forgiveness does not excuse the wrong that was done, nor does it erase the pain we experienced. Rather, it frees us from being held captive by resentment, anger, and bitterness. When we choose to forgive, we place our wounds into God's hands and allow His grace to heal what we cannot heal ourselves.
Jesus showed us the perfect example of forgiveness when He forgave those who mocked, rejected, and crucified Him. Humanly speaking, forgiveness can seem impossible, especially when the hurt is deep. Yet through God's grace, what seems impossible becomes possible. Forgiveness is not something we earn or manufacture on our own. It is a gift from God that transforms our hearts, restores peace, and enables us to love as Christ loves.
When we forgive, we are not only releasing others; we are also releasing ourselves. We become free from the burden of carrying old wounds and discover the peace that comes from trusting God's justice and mercy.

Lord Jesus Christ,
Thank You for Your boundless mercy and for the countless times You have forgiven me. You know the hurts I carry and the wounds that remain hidden within my heart. At times, forgiving those who have caused me pain feels difficult and beyond my strength.
Today, I surrender these hurts to You. Fill me with Your grace and teach me to forgive as You have forgiven me. Remove every bitterness, resentment, and anger that robs me of the peace You desire for me. Help me to let go of the pain I have held onto and free me from its grip.
Lord, heal my heart and replace my wounds with Your love. Give me the humility to see others through Your eyes and the courage to choose mercy over retaliation. May Your Holy Spirit guide me each day as I walk the path of forgiveness and reconciliation.
Let Your peace reign in my heart, and may my life be a witness to Your transforming grace. I trust that through Your love, all things can be made new.
