God Dwells in Us

Gospel
John 14:21-26

Reading

“Whoever loves me will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our dwelling with him." (John 14:23)

Revelation

God speaks His living word into the depths of your being. His word is not merely information—it is life, light, and nourishment for your whole person. Because you love Jesus, you treasure His word, and this love has opened your heart to receive the fullness of God’s presence.

Jesus Himself promised that those who keep His word become a dwelling place of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. This is happening in you. God has made His home in your soul. You are not just guided by Him—you are inhabited by Him. And because God dwells in you, you are greatly blessed!

Reflection

There is a deep peace that comes from knowing that God’s word is alive within us. It shapes our thoughts, strengthens our spirit, and gives meaning to our daily life. Even in moments when we feel quiet, ordinary, or unnoticed, God is actively speaking into our hearts.

His presence in the “deepest recesses of our soul” means we are never empty, never alone, never without direction. Every time we choose to love Jesus, to obey Him, or to listen to His word, we open the door wider for God’s presence to fill us.

Our love for Jesus is not unnoticed in heaven. Our desire to keep His word is a sign of our belonging to Him. And His promise is sure: “We will come to him and make our dwelling with him.”  This is why we are blessed—not because of what we have, but because of Who lives in us.

Response

Lord Jesus,

Your word is life to me. It nourishes my soul, strengthens my heart, and gives meaning to everything I do. Thank You for speaking to me in the quiet places of my spirit and for being present in the deepest parts of my being.

Because I love You, I desire to keep Your word. Let it shape my thoughts, guide my steps, and transform my life. Thank You for the promise that the Father, You, and the Holy Spirit have made Your dwelling in me.

Fill me with Your peace, Your wisdom, and Your love. Let Your life in me reflect the blessing of Your presence within me. Remain with me, Lord, and let Your word continue to bring life to every part of who I am.

Amen.
