Gospel
Matthew 8:23-27
Reading
Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, "Lord, save us! We are perishing!" But He said to them, "Why are you fearful, O you little faith?" Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.
Revelation
Accept God's will for you, whatever it may be. Jesus is in Control! He is always around to calm each and every storm of life that comes your way. All you have to do is to be still and have faith in Him. His authority is absolute but within the bounds of logic. Surrender to Jesus' authority and let Him guide you along life’s journey.
Reflection
Surrendering to the God Who Is in Control. Accepting God’s will is not always easy. Sometimes His plans stretch us, redirect us, or lead us through seasons we never expected. Yet the message reminds us of something profoundly comforting: Jesus is in control. Not partially, not occasionally—fully.
His presence is constant. Even when storms rise suddenly, even when life feels overwhelming, He is already standing in the middle of the chaos, calming the winds before they reach you. The call to be still is not a command to do nothing; it is an invitation to trust deeply. Stillness is the posture of a heart anchored in faith.
His authority is absolute—yet never irrational or harsh. It is authority shaped by love, wisdom, and divine logic. When you surrender to Jesus’ authority, you are not losing control; you are placing life into the hands of the One who sees the entire journey from beginning to end.
To surrender is to walk with Him, not ahead of Him. It is to let Him guide each step, each decision, each season. And in that surrender, peace rises—peace that does not depend on circumstances but on the unshakable truth that He is with you, He is for you, and He will never fail you.
Response
Lord Jesus,
In this moment of quiet, I come before You with a heart willing to accept Your will— not only the parts I understand, but even the paths that feel uncertain, heavy, or unclear. You are in control. You calm every storm that rises against me. You silence every fear that tries to steal my peace.
Teach me to be still in Your presence, to rest in the truth that Your authority is absolute and Your wisdom is perfect. I surrender all my plans, my worries, and my expectations to You. Guide me along the journey You have prepared— a journey shaped by Your love, strengthened by Your grace, and secured by Your promises.
When life shakes me, let my faith remain anchored in You. When doubts whisper, let Your voice be louder. When storms surround me, let Your peace reign within me.
Jesus, I trust You. Lead me, carry me, and transform me according to Your divine will. May Your life in me reflect Your glory and my heart remain steadfast in Your truth.
Amen.
