Am I Being Deceived to Believe?

"Watch out that you are not deceived.
For many will come in my name,
claiming, ‘I am he,’ and, ‘The time is near.’
Do not follow them."
(Luke 21:8)

At any given time, I am prone to be deceived believing on "fake news" so to speak. Jesus emphasizes the importance of discernment. I must be vigilant and discerning to avoid being misled. This means living with integrity, faith, and a focus on spiritual growth.

The temple of the Lord is in you and not on costly buildings and structures. Works should be centered not on material gain but on building relationships with a foundation of love.

All works of men will eventually come to an end but the works of the Lord will last forever. This is the truth and the reality which the Lord wants you to hold on to. Only His hand and personal touch can bring you to the fullness of life. Do not be deceived and follow those who comes in His Name in order to enrich themselves.

Many people today are invoking the name of our Lord Jesus Christ out of personal gain, recognition and ambition. While the Lord wants to enrich us in every way, His name should never be used in vain. There now exists so much commercialization in using the name of our Lord that instead of bringing us closer to Him for the praise and glory of the Father, we become victims of deception by way of buying their goods and believing their false teachings. The Lord reminds us today to be very discerning regarding this truth otherwise we may fall into commiting the sin of idolatry.

Lord Jesus, You alone can lead me to the right path of life for You are the very life that lives in me. Please guide my thoughts and the intents of my heart so that I may not be deceived. Help me to focus more on what really matters and not be enticed by earthly grandeurs.

Today, as I live out Your life in me, may I always stay focused on Your guding wisdom. Be my all O Lord so that in all that I say and do, our God the Father will always be praised and glorified. Always maintain in me Your very peaceful and loving heart, free from any worries and cares. Completely shield me from all forms of deceptions. All glory, honor, and praise are Yours now and forever! Amen.
